MSC World Asia Completes Final Sea Trials Ahead of Her Debut
MSC Cruises' newest ship, MSC World Asia, has completed her final sea trials off the coast of France — the last major milestone before her delivery on 25 November 2026. The trials tested everything from engine performance to manoeuvrability and safety systems, following an initial round of a sea trials in July.
A Landmark Ship for MSC
MSC World Asia is the cruise line's 24th ship and its third LNG-powered World-class vessel, reflecting a growing focus on fuel efficiency at sea. She can run on LNG as well as bio- and synthetic renewable LNG fuels, and comes fitted with shore power connectivity — making her one of the most efficient ships currently sailing.
What to Expect Onboard
Designed with subtle nods to Asian art, culture and landscapes, the ship features a striking 12-metre dragon sculpture suspended above the World Promenade, and over 40 bars, lounges and restaurants. Thrill-seekers will find The Spiral @ Tree of Life — the longest dry slide at sea at 81.3 metres, winding down 12 decks with ocean views.

- First guest voyage: 4 December 2026, departing Barcelona
