Carnival Adds Two Adults-Only SEA Cruises for 2027: Tampa and Galveston Western Caribbean Sailings
Carnival Adults-Only SEA Cruises 2027 | Paradise & Horizon
Carnival Cruise Line has added two more adults-only sailings to its 2027 schedule, expanding its SEA Cruises program. According to an update shared by Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald, the new sailings are open for booking through October 16, 2026.
The cruises will sail on Carnival Paradise and Carnival Horizon. They offer expanded casino access, themed parties, bingo events and other adult-focused activities. Heald said the sailings were added in response to popular demand and offer an exclusive option for guests aged 21 and older.
For Indian travellers planning an adults-only Caribbean cruise for 2027, here is what you need to know.

What Are Carnival SEA Cruises?
SEA cruises were introduced in early 2025 as a product designed exclusively for adults. At launch, Carnival said the sailings were designed to maximise guests’ casino playtime and onboard experience.
The program began with select Carnival Conquest sailings between August and September 2025 and was later expanded to more ships and dates. Carnival Glory, Carnival Dream and Carnival Paradise were among the ships offering adults-only sailings in 2026, with itineraries ranging from the Caribbean to Europe.
Earlier this year, Carnival also cancelled a month of sailings on Carnival Firenze to make room for new SEA cruises on the West Coast. Sailing to the Mexican Riviera from Long Beach, the ship will operate four SEA cruises between October and November 2026.
The steady expansion suggests the adults-only format is growing in popularity.
What to Expect Onboard
Based on Carnival’s announcement, guests on these sailings can expect:
- Expanded casino access
- Themed parties
- Bingo events
- Other adult-focused activities
- A 21+ only guest environment
Who Are Adults-Only Cruises Best For?
- Couples: A quieter, child-free atmosphere for anniversaries and honeymoons.
- Friends’ groups: Themed parties and games suit birthday trips and group getaways.
- Casino fans: The program is built around extended casino play.
- Corporate or incentive groups: Adult-only sailings can suit team outings, subject to company policies.
Families with children cannot book these sailings, so this product suits a different traveller from a typical family cruise.
Planning an Adults-Only Cruise from India? What to Know
- Booking deadline: The new SEA sailings are open for booking through October 16, 2026. Contact your travel agent right away to check availability and fares.
- Age requirement: All guests must be 21 or older. Confirm Carnival’s exact age rules with your agent at booking.
- US visa: Both cruises depart from US ports (Tampa and Galveston), so Indian passport holders will generally need a valid US visa (B1/B2). Check requirements well in advance, as appointment wait times can be long.
- Port entry rules: Cozumel (Mexico) and Roatán (Honduras) may have their own entry requirements. Confirm current rules before you travel.
- Flights and stay: Plan flights into Tampa or Houston/Galveston, and consider adding a few nights before or after the cruise.
- Weather and timing: The February sailing falls in the Caribbean’s drier season, while May is warmer. Discuss timing with your agent.
- Food preferences: Inform your agent about vegetarian or Jain meal needs at the time of booking so special requests can be raised with the cruise line.
- Gaming rules: Casino play is subject to onboard rules and local regulations. Gamble responsibly and set a budget.
